Kiwi Indian Charitable and Social Club New Zealand has been established to motivate and support people of Indian origin in New Zealand to engage in charitable work, talent, art and culture in ways that will enrich the quality of life of Kiwi Indians and that will contribute to the cultural, social and traditional vitality of the diverse flavour of New Zealand.
The primary objective of the club is to enhance the well being of the New Zealanders. The objects in this category can be classified as under:
- Enhance community and social well-being of the Kiwi Indians in New Zealand.
- Increase cultural and traditional diversity among wider communities by promoting and encouraging to develop art and creative skills.
- Facilitate partnerships between key stakeholders for the development, recognition and showcasing outstanding services, talent and skills.
- Advocacy role for the trust-this includes Free advice to all on social, legal, medical issues and Free services in the fields of Immigration, Legal, medical, personal support and social well being of the eligible needy Kiwi Indians. (The Board of Trustees shall decide on the basis of assessment about the persons eligible to receive the Free services.)
- To collectively participate in the community work and help in the nation building.
- To provide a platform to the local artists, talented people to showcase their talent with the wider community.
- To recognise people and reward them for their outstanding services and talent in the community.
- To undertake projects and activities for the benefit of the wider community.
- To promote Indian culture, traditions and values among the younger generation of Indian origin in New Zealand.
- To provide platform and opportunity to do charitable work for the benefit of wider community in New Zealand.
- To bring kiwi and Indian culture closer and work together to develop better understanding and recognition of diverse cultures, traditions and social values between Indian Community and Maori Community.
Addressing gaps in cultural provision, including but not limited to the following:
- The public appreciation of tangible and intangible Indian and Māori cultural heritage.
- A well acclaimed platform for Performance suitable for art, singing, dance, unamplified music and poetry.
- Access to charitable activity participation.
- Access to Free educational and legal advice.
- Introducing creative initiatives and addressing gaps in art and culture delivery.
